"Books are living entities -- they take you on an adventure."

Meet the Author

Sue writes fiction for children, young adults and adults. During her 30 year career she has published over 80 books. She has written under five different pseudonyms but now writes all her books under her own name.

Sue currently lives in a house surrounded by a wildlife hedge so she can pretend she lives in the countryside. She has always had an overactive imagination and a love for learning new things which comes in handy when thinking up exciting storylines! When working on a novel Sue loves walking in nature, which helps her think, stay sane, and develop ideas and characters for her books. She also finds picking up scraps of conversations from people in cafes useful in creating great dialogue. Her favourite type of books to read are anything historical, particularly set in Victorian times and she likes a good gothic mystery, now and then!
